Welcome

Dear Moms and Ladies,
A time to enjoy relax, refresh and rejuvenate......

PreNatal Massage

Pregnancy is a time of great physical and emotional changes for women.
PreNatal massage is usually done from the 5th month of pregnancy using gentle massage techniques.

A gentle massage during the pregnancy month will help relax and soothe tensed and tired muscles, especially in the lower back which is often affected by the extra weight of the baby.

Regular massage also helps to improve blood circulation, eliminates water retention, stimulates lymphatic drainage, tones muscles, maintains the skin's suppleness and elasticity.

PostNatal Massage

PostNatal massage focuses on helping to restore your body to its pre-pregnancy condition. It helps speed up the healing of the uterus, eliminates excess body fluids and restore the elasticity of the skin especially over the abdomen. Massage of the lower back relieves tension. Overall, massage releives muscle aches and pains and help the mother regain energy and strength.

Combined with the traditional Javanese body wrap, postNatal massage help new mothers regain their figure and tightens loose abdominal muscles. In most instances, postNatal massage with the Javanese wrap can bring about a much shapelier silhouette compared to the one just before pregnacy.

Mothers who have given birth via caesarean section are advised to wait at least two weeks after delivery for postnatal massage, and six weeks for the Javanese wrap (upon Gynae advice).

Traditional Javanese Binding

A long cotton cloth is used to bind on the abdomen during the period of the postNatal treatment.
The main reason the Javanese wrap is done is to shrink the distended uterus faster and dispel the lochia. A more popular reason for binding the abdomen after pregnancy would be to flatten the stomach and re-define the waistline. It helps with keeping your backs straight, especially when beastfeeding.

This practice of being "wrapped" is done usually after a body massage when the postnatal massage therapist gently massage the destended uterus back to its original position to shrink it. This would be done at the end of the massage session, after which the new mother would be bound tightly with cloth to hold the uterus in place. Traditional herbs, or jamu is applied on the stomach area before the wrap (optional).

Lemongrass and ginger with sweet almond essential oil are used in the massage treatment on the body and abdominal area.
